Personality & History

Personality

Star is a generally patient and good-natured cat who prefers to give others the benefit of the doubt, but even he has limits. He is proud to be a Crow Hunter, and aims to represent their notions of freedom, self-expression, and community as best he can.

History

Star was raised in the Crow Hunters alongside his littermate, Soda. Their mother was very sick when they were born, but the Clowder came together to help her raise them. She died during their kittenhood after a long battle with illness. Star will always be grateful to his community for stepping up, and tries to pass that kindness on.

Relationships

Allies

• Soda: Soda is Star's littermate. Star trusts her deeply. The two were inseparable from youth.
• Chair: Chair is one of the few cats that knows about Star's physical differences. He confessed them to her due to knowing she was also different, and they bonded over it. The two are close friends.

Foes

• Tabith: Star doesn't trust Tabith.

Misc

• Star is intersex, but not in a way the Clowder cats can easily recognize! He has X monosomy, but appears to them like a mostly normal (if very small) male cat due to virilization. This was inspired by a paper on a cat with a similar condition, though Star's differences are much less detectable than that cat's. In a less accepting Clowder like the Mouse Catchers, his differences may have been caught and he might've received treatment to similar Quint, but the Crow Hunters are very casual and accepting.
