Keth prefers to keep her thoughts to herself. She is deeply loyal to those she cares about to the point that she'll follow their word over what she feels is right. After a lifetime spent being told she was lesser than others, how could she trust herself?

• Keth is generally very quiet and closed off. Despite her size, she takes up very little space.
• Despite (or perhaps because of) her big paws, Keth walks very softly, and often accidentally sneaks up on and startles others.

History

Summary

Keth was born in the Mouse Catchers to two dark-furred cats with a pure black coat, leading the clowder to consider her a darkfur. She met Quint during this time, and due to her status as a darkfur, they kept their friendship secret. As she got older, her coat started getting white spots, until eventually she was reevaluated as a mediumfur. This allowed her to take a position as a Carer, where she met Tabith. She fell in love with Tabith, and hated how her mate, Nik, treated her, so when Quint proposed that they kill Quint and take Nik's position as Heads, she agreed.

Detailed History

• Keth was judged to be a darkfur when she was born, one of the lowest fur color groups within the Mouse Catchers. This led her to experience a lot of discrimination, especially from mediumfurs and lightfurs. But one lightfur, Quint, didn't seem to care about that. They kept their friendship a secret, playing and training together in the middle of the day when most cats were asleep.
• Keth always wanted to be a Carer, but only mediumfurs and lightfurs could be Carers, so she started training as a Healer, who didn't have that requirement. Midway through her Healer training, she was reevaluated due to the white spots that were developing all over her fur. The Heads decided that she had enough white to qualify her as a mediumfur, so she was able to switch from Healer training to Carer training.
• After successfully training to become a Carer, her first independent assignment was Tabith. She ended up falling in love with Tabith, and quickly grew to resent her mate, Nik, who treated her poorly.
• Keth helped Tabith deliver Snobal and his stillborn siblings. Nik was displeased with the litter, especially when it became clear that Snobal had malocclusion. He demanded Snobal be culled. Tabith refused.
• Quint gave both Tabith and Keth a proposal: they kill Nik and take his place as Head. They successfully killed him, but Tabith betrayed Quint, using Mouse Catcher Law to prevent him from taking the position he was promised. Keth was mortified, but didn't have it in herself to stand up for her friend if it meant hurting Tabith.
• Later, Quint learned that Snobal had an affair with a darkfur Hider, Aster. He blackmailed Tabith and Keth into promising him mentorship of the next Head-to-be if he helped them recover the kittens and cover the scandal up.
• Aster fled with her kittens, but Tabith, Keth, and Quint tracked her down.

• Keth has vitiligo!
• Keth's name is a clowder-fied mutation of the name "Kef."
• She has gone through many changes! This current version of her is fused with a character from a previous draft, Sky, who was already a fusion of two other characters, Stal and Skieb.
