North is an anxious and quiet cat. He hears things that others do not--things others claim aren't real. But he doesn't fear the things his mind conjures because he knows reality is worse.

History

North was born in the Mouse Catchers alongside his littermates, Tinel and Dan, to the Hider Aster. When Aster fled the clowder, she took her kittens with her. After her death, North and his littermates were separated. He was taken to the Tree's Leaves.

• Dan: Dan is North's sister. North admires her sense of justice, but fears she may one day take things too far.
• Keeden: Keeden is one of North's adoptive mothers.
• Shado: North and Shado are close. She is the one who inspired North to learn and keep the history of the clowders.
• Tenu: Tenu is one of North's adoptive mothers.
• Tinel: Tinel is North's sister. He loves her and thinks she wants the best for all of them, but is wary of her because she is a member of the Mouse Catchers.

• North experiences auditory and tactile hallucinations! Specifically, he hears voices. The voices are generally encouraging and helpful. The tactile hallucinations are brief touches, which he interprets as the brushing of invisible cats against him.
